Cracked & Scorched Earth

On my way to Hawaii, I was waiting for my flight of San Jose. Since I had some time to wait I decided to go on a little adventure and check out any nearby parks or nature reserves. I decided to set out towards the Stevens Creek Shoreilne Nature Study Area. I had no idea what to expect or what it would look like. It was a pretty barren area which didn't illicit too much excitment from me, but after walking around for a bit I noticed there were still some cool things to photograph. This patch of earch being one of them! I don't know how it got this way, but I thought it looked it looked really neat!
